Green Dream Tours Committed to Safe San Francisco Wine Tours

New Cancellation Policy: Due to Covid-19, all future tours can be canceled with no notice, for a full refund.
Green Dream Tours was on track for a record year in early March before COVID-19 shut down San Francisco tourism and wineries throughout Napa and Sonoma.
Cancellation phone calls and emails began to stream in on March 13. Then on March 17, shelter-in-place orders were implemented throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. (Our last tour was March 15.)
CoronaVirus has temporarily closed our small, locally owned business. The waiting is hard. We’ve been closed before due to fires in Wine Country, but even the wildfires have become more predictable with an end in sight.
COVID-19 is different. We’re not sure how long tourism will be shuttered in San Francisco or when we can take guests on Napa and Sonoma wine tours.
We support the state of California’s decision to flatten the curve through sheltering in place. Although some restrictions are being loosened, the shelter-in-place order has been extended until the end of May.
Despite the uncertainty, Green Dream Tours has been ramping up strategies for safe experiences once San Francisco wine tours are allowed to operate again.
Here are 6 steps we are taking for safe Wine Country tours:
Woman using hand sanitizer
  1. Reduce the maximum size of group tours based on current recommendations and guidelines, including physical distancing. (We will continue to reevaluate group capacity.)
  2. Stringent cleaning and sanitization of tour buses throughout the day, and deep cleaning between tours.
  3. Hand sanitizer available on all tours. The use of masks and gloves may be compulsory depending on recommendations.
  4. Guide training to ensure the safest possible conditions.
  5. Working closely with wineries to enforce physical distancing and minimizing risks.
  6. Listening to and learning from science-based research so we don’t open too soon.
“Our focus is on responsible travel, cleaning procedures, and keeping our guests and guides safe when we are able to run tours again while following all local, state, and federal guidelines,” says Green Dream Tours general manager and partner Erin Troy. “We want people to feel comfortable booking with us in the ‘new normal’ COVID-19 climate.”
According to Elie Sasson, owner of Green Dream Tours, wine tours will remain much the same, except for physical distancing.
“We believe Wine Country will be as popular a destination as it was before,” said Sasson. “We expect the wineries will help tourism rebound by offering specials on their wines and tasting fees to generate business.
“We will help Wine Country recover by bringing them as many guests as we can,” said Sasson.
In addition to new safety initiatives, Green Dream Tours has been busy updating our YouTube channel, reimagining marketing strategies, creating new web content, and preparing to launch Green Dream Cannabis Tours. We are optimistic that tourism in San Francisco and Wine Country will return stronger than ever. This page will be updated as the situation changes.
We look forward to spending time amongst the vines again with our guests and winery friends. Hope you will join us when you feel ready!
