We offer 5 pre-set public group tours as well as private tours.
Our private tours are fully customizable. We can accommodate groups of any size.
These are perfect for birthdays, bachelorette parties, corporate events, and more!
To get a quote with pricing and options please fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
You can also view our pre-set private tour options on this page.
In addition to wine country, we also offer private SF City Tours, Muir Woods, Sausalito, Monterey/Carmel, or any other destination in the Bay Area.
Public Tours: Yes, tasting fees are included. Full day tours include the tasting fees at all 3 wineries. The Half-day and Alcatraz Combo tours include the tasting fees at both wineries.
Private Tours: We can offer you quotes with or without tasting fees included. If you prefer we can pay for them and add them into the tour rate.
Picnic lunch is included only on our public Sonoma tour at the Larson Family Winery overlooking the vineyards.
The Napa and Napa and Sonoma Combo tours stop at the Oxbow Public Market where you have one hour to get lunch on your own. Lunch is available for all budgets.
On our Half-day and Alcatraz Combo tours you are back in SF before lunch and have time to eat on your own. We have a list of recommendations available.
Public Tours: We pick-up from all hotels in and around downtown SF and Fisherman’s Wharf.
In other neighborhoods we offer pick-up from some hotels.
When booking online there will be a place for you to enter your pick up location.
If you do not see your hotel, contact us and we will let you know the easiest place to meet your tour.
Feel free to contact us before booking if you’d like to confirm that we pick-up from where you are staying.
Private Tours: We can pick you up from anywhere in the Bay Area or Wine Country.
Public Tours: We may be able to pick you up at a residence depending on the location. Let us know the address and we’ll let you know if we can pick you up there, and if not the easiest place to meet.
Private Tours: Yes, we can pick you up from anywhere in the Bay Area or Wine Country.
Public Tours: Unfortunately we are not able to pick up from the airport or hotels in that area.
We recommend taking BART (public transit) to the Powell St. station and we can pick you up from the Parc 55 Hotel near the station.
Alternatively you could drive into SF and we could pick you up from the Marriott Marquis near this parking garage:
Fifth & Mission Parking Garage (click for rates)
899 Mission St
San Francisco, CA 94103
Private Tours: Yes, we can pick you up from anywhere in the Bay Area or Wine Country.
Public Tours: Sometimes by special arrangement only. Please call or email to discuss.
Private Tours: Yes
Hotel pick-ups take place between 8:00am-9:00am depending on the location.
We will give you a 15 minute pick-up window.
Hotel drop-offs typically take place between 4:30pm-5:30pm although we cannot guarantee this due to potential unforeseen circumstances such as traffic.
Approximately 1 hour. Sometimes a bit longer if there is heavy traffic on the way back to SF.
All tours offer a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge except the Napa Valley Tour. The stop is always in the morning and is on the Marin County side of the bridge at the Vista Point. Weather conditions are not guaranteed, and fog is common in the summer months. There are restrooms at this stop for anyone needing them.
Public Tours: Gratuity is not included. If you enjoy the tour a gratuity of 15%-20% per person is appreciated.
Private Tours: Gratuity is included, however, if you receive exceptional service anything additional is always appreciated.
Public tours have a maximum of 14 guests per group.
We have several different luxury vehicles we use depending on the size of the group and what is reserved that date. We cannot guarantee which vehicle you will be in but you are welcome to put in a request if you have a preference. See photos of our vehicles on our fleet page: here.
Our public tours typically visit the same wineries daily and they are listed on the tour description pages with links to their websites. Wineries are subject to change without notice.
Full Day Public Tours: Typically we offer one winery tour on each of our public tours.
In addition our tours are fully narrated with commentary provided throughout the day by your experienced and fun wine country tour guide. Winery staff also offer commentary on the wines and history of the winery, etc.
You will receive a thorough overview and detailed description of the wine-making process on every tour. You also have the opportunity walk through the vineyards and view the vines up close. Also you will be able to see some or all of the equipment used in the wine-making process.
Due to variable activities taking place day-to-day with dynamic and active production areas at the wineries, we are not able to guarantee that you will be able to visit every part of each winery, because some areas have restricted access for safety reasons.
While you may not get an official “tour” at each winery put on by the winery staff or your tour guide, you will be very well informed about each winery. Your guide will be sure to show you around as much of the wineries and equipment as possible. Don’t hesitate to ask questions!
Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!
Our staff favorite, hands down, is the Sonoma tour.
It’s also the best value as it includes a picnic lunch and one hour of free time to explore the quaint downtown Sonoma Square.
Yes, we recommend booking in advance. Our tours are sold on a first come first serve basis and do sellout, especially on weekends and peak Summer months.
You should use this website www.greendreamtours.com
Yes, you may eat and drink in the vehicle, we only ask that you keep it tidy and stay within your limits. No outside alcohol is allowed at the wineries.
If you live within the US most wineries can ship to your home.
Alternatively you could pack bottles in checked luggage. Consider purchasing cushioned wine “sleeves” or shipping box available at some wineries and local establishments. You could check a case or partial case of wine on your flight. Some wineries sell special boxes for this purpose. Rates determined by airline. You may also drink your purchased wine before getting on a flight home. Many restaurants allow you to bring in a bottle of wine if arranged in advance and may charge a “corkage fee” to open and serve your wine for you.
We recommend dressing in comfortable attire. It can be chilly in the mornings and evenings in SF and is often quite warm in wine country so layers are also recommended. There is no dress-code at the wineries. High heels are not recommended as it makes walking through the wineries and vineyards more challenging.
If you will not be participating in the wine tastings you may purchase your ticket at the “youth” rate. This is $99 for most tours.
Some of our vehicles can accommodate luggage and others do not have adequate storage. Please contact us in advance to inquire if we can accommodate luggage on your tour.
We do allow children on our tours. Anyone under the age of 21 may purchase their ticket at the “youth” rate.
California State law requires any children/infants under the age of 8 to be in a car-seat, which you would be responsible for providing and properly installing. We would also need to verify that the car-seat is compatible with the vehicle that we would be using before confirming that we can accommodate you. Does it require a lap style seat belt, shoulder strap, or compatible with both?
Because your child will be taking up a seat in the vehicle you would need to purchase a ticket for them at the “youth” rate.
No, there is minimal mandatory walking involved. There are opportunities to explore the winery properties, the amount of walking is up to you.
Unfortunately, our vehicles are not wheelchair accessible, however some of our vehicles have rear storage that can accommodate wheelchairs.
No, we run our tours rain or shine!
All wineries have indoor and/or covered areas so you won’t be standing in the rain.
In the event of cold or wet weather on the Sonoma tour we would cancel the picnic lunch, offer a $10 refund, and give you extra time to get lunch in the downtown Sonoma Square.
For online and telephone bookings we accept both credit and debit cards with the following logos: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.
Yes, you can pay for your tour with cash. Please call us at 415-692-1644. Please have a credit/debit card handy, so we can use that as a backup payment method. If you do not have a credit/debit card, we can still book your tour for you.
This means that the tour is not currently running but if we sell out the other available tour(s) we may open it. If you are not flexible in your date we recommend choosing a tour that is available and making a note in the “special requests” field that you prefer another tour and if it opens we will contact you to offer to switch you to your desired tour. Or, you can call us and let us know which tour you prefer.
The only extra fee is the 99 cents per person per booking that is added on to your total. We also recommend a tip of 15-20% per person for your guide/driver, if you enjoyed your tour and the service you received.
