Stag’s Leap – Napa

The Stags Leap District is Napa Valley’s smallest and most acclaimed sub-appellation. It is home to many elegant American Cabernet Sauvignons. Pronounced fruit character, gentle but well-structured tannins, and silky texture are the hallmarks of Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon. Stag’s Leap gained its fame by winning Best Cabernet in the 1976 blind tasting event in Paris.

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars

Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, notably known for being the winery that won the Cabernet Sauvignon competition in the 1976 Judgment of Paris. The winery was founded in 1970, and is considered a Napa Valley first-growth estate.

Here is a sample itinerary that we can modify to suit your desires:

8:30AM – Pick-up at Hotel
Optional photo stop at GG Bridge, weather and time permitting
10:00-11:30 – 1st Winery – Tasting (and tour?)
11:45-12:45 – 2nd Winery – Tasting
1:00-2:30 – Lunch at a Restaurant or Picnic Lunch
2:45-3:45 – 3rd Winery – Tasting
5:00+/– Arrive back in SF

Timing and order will depend on availability at the wineries and the experiences you select.
Occasionally substitutions may be required based on availability.
