You’ve Got One Shot at Wine Country. Make It Count.

Most tours force you to choose: Napa or Sonoma. Or they cram in five tastings and you spend the whole day on a bus. You didn’t come all the way to San Francisco for a checklist. You came for a real day in wine country. One you’ll actually remember.

This tour gives you both valleys, real wineries, and the freedom to make the day your own.

What Makes This Tour Different

Three things you won’t get on any other wine country tour from San Francisco.

Both Napa & Sonoma in One Day

Most tours pick one valley. We take you to both. A winery in Napa and a winery in Sonoma, so you get the full picture of California wine country without having to choose.

Visitors exploring Scott Nichols Gallery and boutique shops on a sunny day in wine country downtown district.

Two Hours of Freedom in Sonoma Plaza

No schedule. No herding. You get two full hours in one of California’s most charming town squares: Michelin dining, tasting rooms, local shops, a historic mission. Your call, entirely.

Small Groups, Guides Who Actually Care

This isn’t a 50-person bus tour. It’s a small group led by local guides who know the winemakers by name. Less like a tour, more like a day out with a well-connected friend.

Your Day in Wine Country

From the Golden Gate to golden hour in the vineyards. Here’s how the day unfolds.

9:00 AM — Morning

The City Disappears Behind You

Meet your guide in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf Sign. Within minutes, you’re crossing the Golden Gate Bridge with the bay sparkling below. Cameras out, coffee in hand, wine country ahead. There’s a stop at Vista Point for photos before the road opens up into the rolling green hills of Marin.

10:30 AM — Late Morning

Your First Taste of Napa

Your first stop is a handpicked Napa Valley winery, the kind of place that reminds you why this region is world-famous. Your guide walks you through the tasting, sharing the stories behind the wines and the people who make them. No rush. Just great wine in a stunning setting.

12:00 PM — Afternoon

Sonoma Plaza, Entirely Your Way

This is the part guests talk about most. Two full hours in the heart of Sonoma. California’s oldest and most charming town square. Have lunch at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Duck into a tasting room. Browse the shops around the plaza. Sit on a bench with a glass of something local and just take it in. There’s no itinerary here. Just your kind of afternoon.

3:00 PM — Late Afternoon

The Sonoma Finish

The day wraps with a tasting at a Sonoma winery. A completely different vibe from Napa. More laid-back, more personal. It’s the kind of place where the winemaker might be pouring your glass. You’ll taste the difference between the two valleys and understand why locals argue about which one’s better.

~6:00 PM — Evening

Back to the City, Better Than You Left

The drive back is golden hour through wine country. New friends, a phone full of photos, and the kind of tired that only comes from a really good day. You’re back in San Francisco by 6.

The Part Guests Love Most

Choose Your Own Adventure in Sonoma Plaza

Here’s why we don’t rush you to a third winery: because Sonoma Plaza is one of the best parts of the whole day, and most tours skip it entirely.

Two hours. No schedule. The historic plaza is surrounded by Michelin-starred restaurants, boutique tasting rooms, local shops, and one of California’s original Spanish missions. Some guests do another wine tasting. Some grab a long lunch. Some just wander. That’s the whole point. You get the freedom to make it yours.

Plus, Green Dream guests get exclusive discounts at select restaurants and shops in the plaza. You won’t find that on any other tour.

“would suggest to
all our friends”

“This tour was an absolute joy. Jeffrey was a treat. He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. The Napa winery was beautiful. The plaza in Sonoma had many food choices. Jeffrey did not stir us wrong with recommendations for ice cream and other tasting rooms. The last winery was in Sonoma and the views were amazing. On the way back to San Francisco, we stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge and got great photos. I can not say enough about this experience and would suggest to all our friends.”

– Madina

“Was wonderful, informative & fun”

“The Small Group Wine tour to Sonoma and Napa, guided by Robin was wonderful. Only 11 on our very informative & fun tour. Each winery we visited discussed different aspects of wine making, it’s history and tasting. Loved going to smaller wineries to taste wines that we typically wouldn’t have a chance to try and being the only group at the winery.”

– Karen

“HIGHLY
RECOMMEND”

“JOE WAS GREAT! Seriously he did a wonderful job ensuring everyone on the tour was comfortable & enjoying themselves. Such a lovely day trip to wine country- loved the extra scenic view drives/stops along the way. Lunch was a perfect stop. All wineries provided different experiences to round out of day. Booking through Green Dreams allowed us to have a logistics free day in wine country- hop on the bus and go! Highly recommend.”

Common Questions

Which wineries do you visit?
We rotate between a curated selection of top-rated wineries in both Napa and Sonoma. Every winery on our list has been handpicked for quality, atmosphere, and the stories behind their wines. Your guide will share details on the day’s stops when you board.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Sonoma Plaza has a wide range of restaurants with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Since you choose your own lunch, you’ll have no trouble finding something that works for you.
What should I bring?
A valid ID (21+ to taste), layers for changing weather, comfortable shoes, and some cash or a card for lunch and shopping in Sonoma Plaza. We take care of everything else.
Can I eat and drink on the bus?
Yes. Snacks, water, and wine from the road are all welcome. We just ask that you skip the red wine on the bus (white and rosé are fair game).
How do I get picked up from my hotel?
We offer door-to-door hotel pickup throughout the Bay Area for an additional fee. Select the hotel pickup option when you book and we’ll coordinate the details with you directly.
