In Napa Valley Wine Tours, Private Wine Tours | Green Dream Tours, San Francisco, Sonoma Wine Tours

Large groups always make planning a little harder whether it’s for a family get-together or birthday party or corporate event. Choosing an activity that everyone will enjoy can be tricky. But no one says no to a good glass of wine.

Green Dream Tours specializes in large-group wine tours from San Francisco to Napa Valley and Sonoma. We offer pick-ups throughout Northern California. We’ll also handle all the planning to make your group event unforgettable.

Get Started

We suggest starting by completing our Get-a-Quote form. That way we have the pertinent information to begin the process on the right foot.

Here are a few things we need to know to start planning your perfect day in California’s Wine Country.

Headcount. We need to know how many people are in your group so we can arrange your transportation, and make winery and lunch reservations. Please plan ahead because there are limited wineries that can accommodate groups of 15 and even fewer that can handle 50. Note that some wineries charge event fees for large groups so tasting fees and site rental may be higher than what’s on the winery websites.

Plan ahead. Sometimes it takes six weeks in advance to secure reservations for large groups. That time frame stretches to several months during holidays and late summer/early fall when the grapes are being harvested. Please call sooner than later.

Customizing your tour. Booking a private wine tour doesn’t end once you confirm your date with a $200 deposit. Green Dream Tours will help you map out your itinerary based on the wineries you’d like to visit, the types of wines you want to taste, and the price point of the tasting fees. Tasting fees range from $20-$75 per person per winery. We also need to plan a mid-day meal, whether it’s a picnic at a winery or restaurant. Let us know and we can accommodate either.

There are amazing wineries that cater to large groups—but you need to know where to find them. Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered!

Here are a few of our favorite options for large-group wine tours to Napa and Sonoma:

Napa Wineries for Large Groups

Bouchaine Vineyards

With jaw-dropping vineyard views and wine to match, Bouchaine is one of our favorite spots for large groups. It also stands out as one of Napa’s oldest continuously operating wineries. Bouchaine even has an event planner onsite, which definitely helps us organize and manage large groups. The hilltop patio area and adjacent event space push this winery to the top of our list for groups of up to 60.

Black Stallion Estate Winery

Located on the scenic Silverado Trail, Black Stallion is ideal for groups up to 25. Our guests love the picnic area with a covered pavilion. (It’s often easier to arrange a picnic than find a restaurant for 25 people!) Black Stallion also offers a barrel room tasting experience.

Round Pound Estate Winery

At the heart of Napa Valley in the town of Rutherford, Round Pond Estate raises the bar for sustainability. Aside from the usual wine tour, there are a lot of activities that you can do inside their vineyard. Groups of up to 90 can immerse in the olive oil-mill production offered as a part of the tour.

Domaine Carneros

One of the top places to indulge in sparkling wine, Domaine Carneros has interiors and exteriors that elevate any special event. It has an iconic stone fireplace with French doors and a view that is perfect for couples looking for a romantic reception to exchange vows. This Carneros castle can host up to 120 guests for special events.

B Cellars Winery

B Cellars offers the best of both worlds by having a wine and garden tour in one location. Enjoy a food and wine pairing of your choice from the chef’s menu and devour on a one-of-a-kind experience for up to 120 guests.

V. Sattui Winery

From its large selection of wines—reds, whites, roses and sparkling—to a great spread of cheeses and sandwiches from its onsite marketplace, you are in for an amazing event at V. Sattui. While this winery may be a little too commercial for some groups, its popularity is merited and sure to make guests feel like they have visited a Wine Country hot spot.

Sonoma Wineries for Large Groups

Ledson Winery & Vineyards

The Ledson hospitality department is very accommodating and provides a stellar experience for groups of up to 100. Located on scenic Highway 12, Ledson features an event tent and an onsite catering service. The grounds include a landmark castle that is perfect for group photos and adds a slice of royalty to every visit.

Notre Vue Estate Winery

It’s all about the view at Notre Vue. In fact, the French translation of notre vue is “our view.” This certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery features 250 acres of rolling vineyards and 350 acres of open space. Notre Vue grapes are so well respected their fruit is sold to premium wineries in Sonoma and Napa besides being the centerpiece of their own estate wines.

Wine is best shared with people close to your heart. Whether you’re planning a tour for a small group or a large event, Green Dream Tours will help you plan an amazing Wine Country experience.

Just don’t forget to plan and book a reservation in advance!
