Best Wine Country Vacations in America

 In Wine Country

The best Wine Country vacations in America have been nurtured side by side in the Northern California vineyards of Sonoma and Napa.

According to the annual U.S. News & World Report travel rankings, Sonoma is No. 2 for Best Wine Vacations followed by Napa at No. 3. California’s Wine Country duo only trails Tuscany, Italy, in the international rankings dominated by European destinations.

Oregon’s Willamette Valley checks in at No. 9 for the only other U.S. region among the top 10 best Wine Country vacations in the world.

So what makes Sonoma and Napa such a paradise for wine lovers? It starts with great wine produced by more than 1,000 combined wineries. The wine is accentuated by verdant vineyard landscapes, internationally-inspired cuisine with a California spin, and a wine bravado felt nowhere else in America.

It’s no surprise that Wine Country is one of the top tours in San Francisco. Green Dream Tours offers day trips from San Francisco to Sonoma and Napa, plus a Combo Napa & Sonoma Tour that visits both regions.

For true wine lovers, we suggest spending at least four days to fully experience California’s Wine Country. Our Private Tours include transportation from San Francisco (or any place in the region), a knowledgable guide/driver, and winery appointments.

As we like to say, you drink and we drive!
