Safe Napa & Sonoma Wine Tours During COVID

 In COVID Safety

*Wineries closed through 1/7/21 due to Covid. Book now for Wine Country tours starting 1/8/21.*

Do you have a milestone birthday, anniversary or wedding coming up? Maybe you’re unable to hold your annual holiday party like you’re accustomed, but want to do something special for your family, friends or employees.

Covid-19 has made us rethink life, period. This is especially true when it comes to how we celebrate and get together. Green Dream Tours is here to help.

Our new reality has led to an uptick in private wine tour requests. Sure, we’re still running public Wine Country tours, albeit with smaller group sizes for social distancing. But these days, private tours seem to be a great way to go.

Here are 5 reasons to book a private wine tour to Napa and Sonoma this year. We’re all in this together, but that doesn’t prohibit us from having fun during this bumpy ride.

safety first during covid

1. Safety first

We put safety first so you can relax and enjoy a special day in Wine Country. We’re taking lots of extra precautions, including the following: temperature checks on guests prior to boarding the vehicle; required use of masks in the vehicle (guests must bring their own); stringent cleaning and sanitization of tour buses throughout the day, and deep cleaning between tours; hand sanitizer available on tours; guide training.

“My husband and I had an AMAZING time! Very informative and entertaining! Also made sure proper precautions were in place due to the COVID pandemic,” says Green Dream Tours guest Jennifer Hansen. “They were very professional and they will make sure you have a great experience. We will be visiting again and taking another tour, or two! Highly recommend!

winery partners

2. Committed Winery Partners

Our winery partners are doing their part to keep things safe. Winery staff members wear masks and gloves when serving guests, and all surfaces are wiped down regularly.

Although some tasting rooms are not open due to Covid, Green Dream Tours has identified several boutique and family-owned wineries to visit. Reservations are more important than ever since the wineries that have reopened are limiting the number of guests they can serve.

outdoor wine tasting during covid

3. Outdoor Wine Tasting

Besides social distancing and wearing masks, we are wine tasting outdoors. Many of our winery partners already staged their wine tasting in their outdoor spaces, but now outdoor spaces are in demand.

We also encourage our guests to explore the winery grounds and stroll through a vineyard when time allows. Posing with a glass of red wine in a vineyard makes for a great photo opportunity.

4. The Best Guides

Green Dream Tours guides will add an extra measure of fun to your party. And drive! We’re your designated driver, party planner and host.

We also take photos with our phones and then send you the photos. We have found that by taking the photos with our own phones we’re avoiding the potential spread of Covid since we’re not passing phones back and forth.

“Amazing experience!!! Our tour guide Jeffrey was very informative, down to earth and hilarious. Super fun experience,” says guest Nicole Vitug Rivera.

support small businesses during covid

5. Support Small Businesses

Tourism around the world has been hit hard by the pandemic. By booking a Wine Country tour you’re not only supporting a small business like ours, but also the wineries.

Besides the precautions being taken by Green Dream Tours and wineries in Napa and Sonoma, San Francisco remains an example to the world when it comes to combatting Covid. San Francisco has the lowest death rate of any major U.S. city, the highest rate of testing, and the second-lowest number of cases per 100,000 people.

“Our city’s health means that San Francisco’s reopening will progress sooner and more completely than other destinations,” says Joe D’Alessandro, president & CEO of San Francisco Tavel. “That success is something each of us has done something to achieve.”
